Škoda Vision O introduces next-generation Modern Solid design

The Škoda Vision O concept represents the company’s vision for the future of its estate vehicles, showcasing the next evolution of the Modern Solid design language. The exterior design focuses on minimalism and aerodynamics, incorporating clean lines and simple surfaces to improve efficiency and extend range. A new Tech-loop face mask defines the front, integrating an illuminated Škoda logo and lighting elements designed to enhance visibility and create a distinctive visual identity.
Measuring 4,850 mm (190.9 inches) long, 1,900 mm (74.8 inches) wide, and 1,500 mm (59.1 inches) tall, the Vision O offers a low, wide stance for aerodynamic performance. Active cooling vents, airflow channels, and recessed door handles contribute to better efficiency, while optimised body shapes reduce drag. Dual charging ports are integrated on both sides of the vehicle and can also provide power to external devices.
A new minimalist interior focused on usability

Inside, the Škoda Vision O introduces a redesigned, customer-first interior developed “from the inside out.” Central to this approach is the new Škoda Horizon Display, which spans more than 1.2 meters (about 3.9 feet) across the dashboard. This ultra-wide display consolidates key driving and passenger information, while a vertically oriented central touchscreen provides additional controls. The symmetrical dashboard features a simple layout with an intuitively controlled dial button that delivers haptic feedback for safer adjustments.
The Bio-Adaptive Lighting system automatically adjusts the interior ambient lighting according to natural light cycles, supporting occupant comfort throughout the day. Over 650 liters (22.95 cubic feet) of luggage capacity provide practicality, while new features such as a portable Bluetooth speaker, built-in refrigerator, and magnetic wireless charging pods add convenience. The cabin design blends functionality and simplicity, prioritizing clarity and ease of interaction for both driver and passengers.
Panoramic roof enhances openness and spaciousness

The Škoda Vision O features a full-length panoramic roof designed to improve cabin brightness and create a greater sense of interior space. Its glass panel extends from the front to the rear, visually connecting the cabin with the exterior and enhancing the feeling of openness. The B-pillar integrates Škoda’s signature hook design element, serving as both a functional and stylistic feature within the vehicle’s profile.
In combination with its glass roof, the Vision O adopts a distinct body-color finish featuring mica pearl pigments that shift between warm and cool tones depending on lighting conditions. The design prioritizes passenger comfort while reinforcing the concept’s clean, minimalist aesthetic. Tinted windows provide additional privacy and shading, contributing to a calmer cabin environment even in bright conditions.
Rear design emphasizes efficiency and aerodynamics

At the rear, the Vision O continues the evolution of Škoda’s Modern Solid design language with a sharp, clean layout. A continuous light strip connects to the Tech-loop lighting element at the front, integrating T-shaped LED taillights, an illuminated Škoda logo, and the Vision O designation. Animated indicators enhance visibility and are designed to support communication with other road users, particularly when the vehicle is in autonomous driving mode.
Aerodynamic efficiency is a key focus, achieved through precisely sculpted surfaces, recessed panels, and airflow optimization. The concept’s active louvers, underbody shaping, and specially designed aerodynamic wheels reduce drag and improve range, particularly over longer distances. Retractable door handles further aid airflow while maintaining a streamlined side profile.
Interior materials prioritize sustainability and circularity

The Vision O’s interior materials are developed with circular economy principles to minimize environmental impact throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle. Seat covers are made from 100% recycled polyester, custom-knit to fit the seat shapes with functional decorative elements. Ultrasuede NU, used across larger interior panels and seats, is composed of 65% plant-based content and features a subtle shimmering finish. The vehicle’s flooring uses Nabore recycled leather made from post-production waste, transforming scraps into a durable and premium surface.
The headrests are produced from Ultrasint TPU, a 3D-printed mono-material designed for comfort, durability, and recyclability. This single-material construction reduces waste and simplifies recycling while maintaining structural flexibility. Combined, these materials demonstrate Škoda’s focus on sustainability without compromising design, comfort, or aesthetics.
Side profile highlights balanced proportions and practicality

From the side, the Škoda Vision O adopts a streamlined profile with balanced proportions and minimalist surfacing. The long roofline and short overhangs maximize interior space while maintaining a low drag coefficient for efficiency. The nearly flush body panels work with aerodynamically optimized wheels to reduce turbulence around the vehicle, contributing to longer driving ranges on a single charge.
The design also integrates functional storage solutions, including dedicated charging cable compartments in the rear and practical cabin innovations that follow Škoda’s “Simply Clever” philosophy. The wide-opening doors and low sill height improve accessibility, making entry and exit easier for all passengers. Together, these design elements reflect a functional, customer-centric approach while maintaining visual simplicity.
Lighting and autonomous technology integration

The Škoda Vision O features an advanced lighting system designed to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Škoda Cyber Lights at the front and T-shaped rear LEDs provide distinctive visual signatures, while sliding headlamps are part of the vehicle’s programmed welcome and departure animations. When switching to autonomous driving mode, the vehicle activates a unique lighting sequence to signal nearby road users, improving safety and clarity in shared environments.
Autonomous capabilities are supported by integrated sensors and adaptive technology, enabling the Vision O to manage driving tasks under specific conditions. A dedicated Tranquil mode automatically adjusts seating, interior lighting, and display content to create a more comfortable passenger experience during autonomous operation. Combined with Škoda’s AI-powered digital assistant Laura, the vehicle demonstrates the company’s approach to connected, user-focused mobility.
