Kia unveils the PV5 ahead of Kia EV Day

Kia has revealed the exterior design of the PV5 Passenger and Cargo models, marking the first vehicle debut under the company’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. The PV5 was initially previewed as the Concept PV5 at CES 2024.

PV5 Passenger model emphasizes visibility and modern design

The PV5 Passenger features a low beltline for increased visibility, large window areas, and black window surrounds that contrast with the body color. The vehicle’s design incorporates Kia’s SUV-inspired elements, such as black wheel arch claddings and rocker panels.

PV5 Cargo variant prioritizes space efficiency

The PV5 Cargo model shares the same geometric design as the Passenger variant but has a boxier shape for enhanced storage capacity. Twin side-opening tailgate doors provide easier access for loading and unloading.

The PV5 models are part of Kia’s broader plan to offer flexible, modular EV solutions. Additional configurations, including specialized conversions, will be revealed at the 2025 Kia EV Day.
