Ford has begun online orders for the 2024 F-150 Lightning trucks, which are now available from the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center. The 2024 model introduces several technological upgrades, including the Vapor Injection Heat Pump System, which optimizes energy use in varying weather conditions by adjusting performance in both heating and cooling modes.

The 2024 F-150 Lightning features a new instrument cluster display that shows charging status, speed, and estimated completion time. The Tow Technology Package components, such as Smart Hitch and On-Board Scales, are now standard on XLT models and higher trims. These trims also include a 360-degree camera, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and Trailer Reverse Guidance.

The truck supports Pro Power Onboard, providing electrical power access even when the vehicle is off. The new Walk Away Lock feature automatically secures the vehicle when the user departs. Ford’s BlueCruise technology, which enables hands-free highway driving, has been updated with Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning on select models.

Pricing for the 2024 F-150 Lightning has been reduced across various trims, with notable price adjustments on specific models. The Flash Extended Range model, for example, starts at under $70,000 and includes features such as a large touchscreen and wireless charging.

Additionally, Ford has become the first automaker to access the Tesla Supercharger network, significantly expanding charging options for Ford electric vehicle owners through the BlueOval Charge Network. This development effectively doubles the number of available DC fast chargers for Ford EVs. Customers can also order a Fast-Charging Adapter to enhance charging capabilities.
