SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Baojun brand has introduced a new vehicle called the Xiang Jing, which is the brand’s first intelligent flagship sedan. The Xiang Jing will be available in both all-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. The vehicle measures 5,005 millimeters in length, 1,900 millimeters in width, and 1,490 millimeters (EV) or 1,505 millimeters (PHEV) in height. The wheelbase is 2,900 millimeters.
The sedan is intended for the mainstream market, and the company states that the vehicle is aimed at meeting the needs of a wide range of urban consumers. The model name is said to reflect Baojun’s branding strategy and commitment to improved user experience and technological advancement.
The first production unit of the Xiang Jing was completed at the LIM plant in Liuzhou, Guangxi. This production milestone also marked the 800,000th new energy vehicle built by SAIC-GM-Wuling in the year 2024.
