Bentley has introduced the EXP 15, an electric grand touring convertible concept designed to preview its upcoming electric vehicle platform and design language. The vehicle was unveiled at the Monterey Car Week and is presented as a continuation of Bentley’s transition to electrification.
The EXP 15 is a two-door, four-seat convertible and is the third coachbuilt model created by Bentley Mulliner in the past five years. It is based on Bentley’s upcoming EV architecture, with an expected range of approximately 500 miles (805 km) and the capability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds, according to internal targets. The vehicle also supports an 800V charging architecture.
The design includes a long hood, short front overhang, and a tapering rear deck. Exterior elements feature a Kamm tail design and 3D-printed lighting. The front grille is illuminated, and the paint incorporates pigment made from rice husk ash, a byproduct of biofuel production. Interior materials include sustainable tanned leather alternatives and digitally woven textiles, with a focus on craftsmanship and natural materials.
The cabin includes a deployable central display and a gauge cluster that references previous Bentley models. A new voice-activated personal assistant named Bentley Digital Assistant is also integrated into the vehicle’s infotainment system.
Bentley states that the EXP 15 is part of its broader Beyond100 strategy, which includes producing only battery electric vehicles by 2030 and reducing its environmental impact. Production details and final specifications for any production derivative of the EXP 15 have not been announced.
