Genesis has announced a partnership with Bloomberg Media to introduce a new program of in-car services provided through an app powered by Bloomberg. This service will initially be available in the newly redesigned Electrified G80 model in Korea starting September 25, 2024.
Following this introduction, the service is expected to expand to additional Genesis models, including the G90, G80, GV80, GV80 Coupe, GV70, Electrified GV70, and GV60. The rollout for these models in Korea is anticipated to be completed by the first quarter of 2025, with the service also becoming available in Europe by the second quarter of 2025. Existing vehicles will receive the new app through an Over-the-Air (OTA) update.
The collaboration aims to provide Genesis owners with convenient access to Bloomberg’s media content. The in-car app allows users to stay connected to Bloomberg’s news, analysis, and entertainment services. The content includes Bloomberg TV+, Bloomberg Originals, and a News Feed that delivers headlines and relevant information without requiring any additional sign-ins.
Furthermore, Genesis is offering an Annual Access package for owners of select models. This package includes an annual Bloomberg digital subscription, granting access to Bloomberg.com and the Bloomberg app across all devices. The package will first be available to owners of the newly redesigned Electrified G80 and will later expand to include owners of the G80, G90, GV80, and GV80 Coupe.
By integrating Bloomberg’s premium content, Genesis aims to provide its customers with continuous access to news and information, both in their vehicles and through other devices.
