On August 15, Dacora Motors revealed the interior design of its debut Model 001 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week. The company presented details about the vehicle’s cabin, customization options, and its approach to interior design.
The Model 001 features a fully customizable interior, with more than 20 available modular console configurations. Options include functional and lifestyle-focused features such as an espresso bar, record player, bonsai garden, wellness diffuser, and more. Owners may also commission bespoke console designs to match individual preferences.
Dacora offers seasonal interior material collections, allowing owners to change upholstery and finishes over time. These “design drops” include options like linen for summer, wool for winter, and limited-edition materials. A curated secondary market will also be available for collectors.
The vehicle’s operating system, Dacora OS, uses a tactile interface instead of traditional touchscreen controls. The main digital display is concealed behind a semi-transparent wooden panel when not in use, creating an analog-inspired design. All controls are mechanical and designed for familiarity and minimal distraction.
Interior seating layouts are engineered to optimize visibility and comfort for all occupants, with seat profiles designed to improve sightlines and enhance connection to the driving experience. Dacora has integrated purpose-built storage solutions, including luggage trays and compartments, with capacity for items such as full-length skis.
Each Model 001 is commissioned individually, and owners may name their vehicles in a process inspired by yacht traditions. The vehicle’s name is etched into the driver’s side glass as part of the build.
Dacora Motors previously announced its launch in June. The company builds its vehicles at its design atelier and garage in New York’s Hudson Valley, using American-sourced components. Model 001 pricing starts at $500,000. Dacora Motors was founded by MIT-trained engineers Kristie and Eric D’Ambrosio-Correll, who serve as CEO and CTO, respectively.
