Stellantis announced that it will end development of a full-size battery electric pickup truck for the North American market. The company cited slowing demand for large battery electric trucks as the reason for the decision.

As part of this change in strategy, the Ram brand is renaming its range-extended electric pickup. The vehicle, previously referred to as the Ramcharger, will now be called the Ram 1500 REV. According to Stellantis, the model will provide range, towing capacity, and payload performance that the company describes as benchmarks within the half-ton pickup segment.
