On March 22, 2025, Verge Motorcycles successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled by an electric motorbike on a single battery charge. The record-breaking journey, measuring approximately 310.689 kilometers (193.053 miles), was completed using the commercially available Verge TS Pro electric motorcycle. The event took place within suburban areas of Greater London, specifically within the M25 ring road.
The motorcycle was operated by Sam Clarke and Sara Sloman, who are known in the electric vehicle industry for their experience and influence. The two drivers alternated regularly over a period slightly exceeding 16 hours. Throughout the journey, they encountered typical urban traffic conditions, including occasional congestion, traffic lights, and pedestrian crossings. The motorcycle was not recharged during the attempt, and its charging cable was disconnected and sealed to comply with Guinness World Records standards.
Webfleet, a vehicle management company, provided the data tracking for the attempt, and the Automobile Association (AA) was present to verify the operability of the motorcycle throughout the duration of the journey. Generate Media captured the entire event on video.
Following the completion of the record, the motorcycle’s battery retained approximately seven percent of its charge, suggesting potential additional range beyond the established record. The decision to stop was made primarily to ensure data reliability and accuracy after surpassing the previous record.
The official record is documented by Guinness World Records as 310.689 kilometers, achieved by drivers Sam Clarke and Sara Sloman, alongside Verge Motorcycles.
