Elexio makes global debut in Shanghai as Beijing Hyundai’s first EV

Beijing Hyundai officially unveiled its first pure electric SUV built on a dedicated EV platform. The new model, named Elexio, made its global debut at Studio 88 Space in Shanghai. The unveiling marks a strategic step in the company’s ongoing transition toward electrification in the Chinese automotive market.

The Elexio is positioned as an electric SUV that integrates Hyundai Motor Group’s latest technology. The vehicle is the first to be built on the brand’s new platform dedicated to electric vehicles, which is separate from platforms shared with internal combustion engine models.
