Fiat has announced updates to its Grande Panda range, introducing a new hybrid Pop trim level that will become available in the UK market in summer 2025. The Pop variant will serve as a more affordable entry point to the hybrid lineup and will be priced at £18,035 on-the-road, which is approximately $22,900 USD at current exchange rates.
This new model joins the previously announced Icon and La Prima trims. The Icon is priced at £19,035 (about $24,200 USD) and includes features such as 16-inch black alloy wheels, roof rails, skid plates, and privacy glass. The top-tier hybrid, La Prima, is priced at £21,035 (around $26,700 USD) and comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, high-quality interior fabrics, and additional parking assistance features including front and rear sensors and a rear-view camera.
The Pop trim includes standard features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, cruise control, front and rear LED lighting, 16-inch steel wheels with aerodynamic covers, manual air conditioning, and rear parking sensors.
All hybrid models in the range are powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged T-Gen3 engine producing 110 horsepower. The system incorporates a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and a 21kW electric motor, coupled with an automatic dual-clutch transmission (eDCT). The hybrid powertrain is designed to enable partial electric driving in certain low-speed and low-demand conditions, such as city driving, parking, and queueing. Estimated COâ‚‚ emissions are 115 g/km for the Pop version and 117 g/km for the Icon and La Prima trims, pending final homologation.
The Grande Panda range also includes two fully electric variants. The Grande Panda Electric (RED), which starts at £21,035 (approximately $26,700 USD), and the Electric La Prima, priced at £24,035 (around $30,500 USD). Both models use an 83kW electric motor and a 44kWh battery that supports a WLTP combined range of up to 199 miles. Charging options include a front-mounted 7kW AC retractable cable or a rear 11kW AC charging port, both of which can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in 4 hours 20 minutes and 2 hours 50 minutes, respectively. A 100kW DC fast charging port is standard, capable of reaching 80% charge in 27 minutes.
The Grande Panda is the first Fiat vehicle built on the Stellantis Smart-Car Platform. It was designed at the Centro Stile in Turin and takes design cues from the 1980s Panda. The platform supports both hybrid and electric configurations and is aimed at global markets. Fiat describes the vehicle as being developed with urban mobility and family use in mind, offering a simple two-pedal driving system in both powertrain versions.
