Ford Performance is returning to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2025, unveiling a striking new Mustang Mach-E-derived Electric Vehicle Demonstrator as its latest entry. The all-electric prototype continues Ford’s recent push into high-performance EV racing, following the success of the SuperVan 4.2 and the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck at previous Pikes Peak events.
The new Mustang Mach-E demonstrator is a bold evolution of Ford’s electric performance strategy, sporting an aggressive aerodynamic package, widebody fenders, and prominent Mustang branding. While technical details remain under wraps, teaser photos reveal a race-focused machine designed for maximum downforce and grip—key elements for the demanding 12.42-mile, 156-turn climb up America’s Mountain.
Behind the wheel will be veteran driver Romain Dumas, who claimed the 2024 King of the Mountain title last year. Dumas will attempt to defend his crown when the 102nd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb kicks off this June.
Ford’s return to Pikes Peak marks the third consecutive year the automaker has competed with an electric demonstrator, reinforcing its commitment to developing high-performance EVs through motorsport innovation.
Stay tuned for more details on the Mustang Mach-E demonstrator as the race date approaches.
