Ford has announced updates for the 2025 Mustang Mach-E, aimed at incorporating customer feedback and adding new features at a competitive price point. The upcoming model will include a standard heat pump, the latest version of the BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving system, and a new Sport Appearance Package. The vehicle will remain fully electric, producing zero emissions.

Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer, explained that the updates reflect Ford’s ongoing commitment to improving the Mach-E based on customer preferences. Key features added include more interior space and a heat pump, enhancing the overall driving experience. The company has focused on customer engagement through monitoring forums and integrating feedback into its products.

One of the major updates is the Sport Appearance Package, which offers a sportier aesthetic for Premium model buyers. This package includes design elements from the Mustang Mach-E GT, such as a distinctive front fascia, grille shield, and red Brembo-branded brake calipers. It also features 19-inch high-gloss black wheels, black door cladding, and wheel lips. Inside, the Premium models receive red accent stitching, sport pedals, and ventilated front seats as standard. The shifter has been relocated from the center console to a column-mounted position, freeing up additional space in the front.

Another significant feature in the 2025 model is the updated BlueCruise 1.5 system. The latest version of Ford’s hands-free driving technology introduces an automatic lane change feature, allowing the vehicle to change lanes without driver input. This feature is activated when the system detects slower-moving traffic ahead or when a vehicle is following too closely in the passing lane. Ford’s internal testing shows that BlueCruise 1.5 automates up to 45% of lane changes during a typical drive. Customers can select from various options when ordering BlueCruise, including a one-time purchase or a yearly subscription plan. A 90-day complimentary trial is also available.

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E will also come with a new Ford Connectivity Package. This package includes a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting up to 10 devices and covering a 50-foot radius, ideal for activities such as camping or tailgating. Additional features include in-vehicle apps like YouTube and Alexa, as well as Connected Navigation with EV Trip Planner and Route Guidance. Customers can choose a one-time purchase option for this package or a complimentary one-year trial with the ability to extend via a subscription plan.

The 2025 model will offer new personalization options, with three new color choices: Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Velocity Blue Metallic, and Desert Sand. In addition, three new wheel designs, including a Dark Carbonized Gray option for the Mustang Mach-E Rally, will be available. The GT Performance Upgrade can still be ordered as a factory option or added later through the FordPass app.

The 2025 Mustang Mach-E is scheduled to go on sale in early 2025, with a starting MSRP of $36,495.
