The Ford F-150 Lightning is expanding its market reach to Norway, marking its first global introduction outside North America. Ford has noted significant interest and demand for the Lightning in Norway, a country known for its high adoption of electric vehicles.
The F-150 Lightning will be available in Norway as a special edition Lariat Launch Edition trim. This variant will be offered exclusively as a Super Crew four-door model, in the color Antimatter Blue. Ford has not disclosed the exact number of units that will be available.
Norway, which has 70 specialized Ford EV dealerships, is a key market for electric vehicles. The Mustang Mach-E, another Ford electric model, has been well-received there, with Norway’s new car sales heavily skewed towards electric vehicles.
The introduction of the F-150 Lightning to Norway supports Ford’s objective of achieving carbon neutrality in Europe by 2035. The trucks destined for Norway will be assembled at Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan. Deliveries are expected to begin next year, although Ford has not yet announced pricing details.
