Genesis has announced that starting the week of April 7, 2025, current U.S. owners of select Genesis electric vehicles will begin receiving emails with instructions on how to claim a complimentary North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter. This offer applies to owners who purchased or leased a Genesis GV60, Electrified GV70, or Electrified G80 on or before January 31, 2025. The NACS adapter enables these vehicles, which use the Combined Charging System (CCS1), to access over 20,000 NACS DC fast chargers in the United States, including Tesla Superchargers.
Each eligible vehicle qualifies for one free adapter. To receive the adapter, owners must have an active MyGenesis account and must have opted in to receive email communications. The redemption process requires owners to verify their contact and vehicle information upon receiving the email invitation. Once confirmed, the adapter will be shipped to the provided address. If the information is incorrect, owners can update their details via the MyGenesis website. A revised redemption email will be sent once updates are processed.
Owners must complete the redemption process within 60 days of receiving the email invitation. Questions about the program can be directed to Genesis Customer Support.
Genesis also confirmed that beginning with the 2026 model year, all Genesis electric vehicles sold in the United States will come equipped with a native NACS port. These vehicles will not require an adapter and are not eligible for the complimentary adapter offer.
