Genesis Motor North America has announced the redesigned 2026 Electrified GV70, which will enter the North American market in the first half of 2025. This model is part of Genesis’ ongoing efforts to expand its electrified vehicle lineup, offering enhanced design, functionality, and technology tailored to electric vehicles (EVs).
The Electrified GV70 features a redesigned front grille specific to EVs, incorporating a motorized charging port door for improved access and usability. A heating element has been added to the charging port for ease of use in cold climates, along with enhanced lighting for visibility in low-light conditions. The vehicle comes exclusively with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charge port, complemented by a Combined Charging System (CCS) adapter. This allows customers access to a network of over 36,000 DC fast chargers across the U.S., doubling the available charging options for Genesis EV users.
Equipped with an 84 kWh high-capacity battery, the Electrified GV70 aims to deliver increased driving range, though exact figures were not disclosed. The model also includes updated convenience features such as improved over-the-air software updates, enhanced voice recognition for controlling in-vehicle functions, and digital key technology that extends smart key access to the second row.
Genesis continues to expand its retail presence to support increasing demand, with the opening of its 60th standalone U.S. retail facility. The Electrified GV70 and its gasoline-powered counterpart will be produced in Montgomery, Alabama, and Ulsan, Korea.
More details on pricing and additional features are expected closer to the vehicle’s launch.
