Honda unveiled the 0 Series lineup with two prototypes, the 0 SUV and 0 Saloon, at CES 2025. These battery-electric vehicles are part of Honda’s plans to advance its EV offerings. Production of both models will begin in North America in 2026, with global availability planned thereafter. The vehicles are being developed at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio.
The company also announced the ASIMO OS, a proprietary operating system for its 0 Series vehicles. Named after Honda’s ASIMO robot, the system integrates technologies for automated driving, in-vehicle systems, and user customization. Over-the-air updates will enable the software to adapt to user preferences over time.
The prototypes reflect Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” design philosophy, emphasizing space efficiency, digital user experiences, and advanced driver assistance systems. The 0 SUV will be the first production model from the series, while the 0 Saloon will follow later as a flagship model.
Honda highlighted its partnership with Renesas Electronics to develop a new system-on-chip (SoC) technology to support centralized electronic architecture in future vehicles. These chips are designed to improve efficiency and support AI-driven features.
Additionally, Honda is expanding its energy services, focusing on smart home energy management and renewable energy integration. The company aims to provide seamless charging solutions through the Ionna charging network and other partnerships.
