Hyundai Motor America has announced that starting March 25, 2025, Hyundai electric vehicle owners in the United States will gain access to Tesla’s Supercharger network using a complimentary adapter. This adapter is designed for Hyundai vehicles equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) port, allowing access to approximately 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the country.
Eligible vehicles include the current Hyundai Kona Electric, Ioniq Electric hatchback, Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and the 2025 Ioniq 5 N. Owners who purchased or leased these vehicles on or before January 31, 2025, will be eligible to receive one free CCS-to-NACS adapter per vehicle.

Hyundai will begin contacting eligible customers by email during the week of April 7, 2025. Customers must have an active MyHyundai account and be subscribed to email notifications to redeem the offer. The email will include instructions for verifying account details, confirming shipping information, and accepting the adapter’s terms and conditions. Once confirmed, Hyundai will ship the adapter, providing tracking details upon dispatch. Customers must respond within 60 days of receiving the notification to claim the adapter.
Future Hyundai models, including the refreshed 2025 Ioniq 5, the upcoming 2026 Ioniq 9, and other planned electric vehicles, will feature native NACS charging ports. These models will not require adapters for Tesla Supercharger access and thus are not eligible for the complimentary adapter offer.

Hyundai is also taking steps to promote electric vehicle adoption through the expansion of charging infrastructure and partnerships. Initiatives include increased EV and battery production at Hyundai’s facilities in Savannah, Georgia, and the Ionna joint-venture, which provides discounted high-speed charging rates specifically for Hyundai customers. Additionally, Hyundai offers customers options for home charger installations or charging credits.
Further details for Canadian Hyundai EV customers regarding Supercharger access and adapter availability will be provided by Hyundai Motor Canada later this year.
More information, including terms and conditions for the adapter offer, can be found on Hyundai’s official owner resource website, available beginning April 1, 2025.
