Hyundai Motor America announced a significant price reduction for the 2026 Ioniq 5 electric vehicle lineup. Prices have been lowered between $7,600 and $9,800, depending on the trim level, with an average decrease of $9,155. The base SE Standard Range model now starts at $35,000 before tax, title, and license fees. With a $1,600 freight charge, the total manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $36,600.
The updated lineup includes additional features across all trims. A dual amperage Level 1 and Level 2 combination charger is now standard equipment. The color palette has been expanded with Sage Silver Matte, Ultimate Red, and Cosmic Blue Pearl available on all models.
Pricing changes are intended to align the Ioniq 5 more closely with current electric vehicle market conditions and reflect increased U.S. production. Hyundai stated that this repositioning will enhance the model’s competitiveness and accessibility to consumers.
The remaining 2025 model year Ioniq 5 vehicles continue to qualify for $7,500 purchase and lease incentives. Hyundai has not announced whether the 2026 models will receive the same incentive.
For the 2026 model year, the Ioniq 5 SE Standard Range RWD is priced at $35,000, or $36,600 including freight. The SE RWD with the larger 225-hp motor is $37,500 before freight, or $39,100 with freight. The SEL RWD is $39,800, or $41,400 including freight. The Limited RWD is $45,075, or $46,675 with freight.
