Jeep has introduced a new version of its Compass C-segment SUV. The vehicle is manufactured in Melfi, Italy, and is built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform. Production continues at the existing facility, known for its automation and electrification capabilities.
The new Compass will offer three powertrain options: a 145-horsepower 48V e-Hybrid, a 195-horsepower plug-in hybrid, and a fully electric version. The electric variant includes front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with the top version delivering up to 375 horsepower and an estimated electric range of up to 403 miles (WLTP). Charging is supported by a 160 kW DC system, offering a 20–80% charge in 30 minutes, and an onboard AC charger with a capacity of up to 22 kW.
Exterior dimensions remain compact at 4.55 meters in length, while interior space has increased. Rear legroom has grown by 55 millimeters, and storage space has expanded by 34 liters in the front compartment and 45 liters in the boot, now totaling 550 liters. A 40/20/40 split rear seat is standard.
The vehicle features Jeep brand design elements such as the seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches. It is available in six paint colors, including Hawaii, Pacific, Antarctica, Amazonia, Yosemite, and Vulcano.
Interior technology includes a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16-inch infotainment screen. Standard features include over-the-air updates, Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, matrix LED headlights, and safety features such as hill descent control on AWD models. The new Compass also features enhanced approach, breakover, and departure angles. The AWD version provides up to 200 mm of ground clearance and a fording depth of 470 mm.
The First Edition version of the Compass includes either a 145-hp e-Hybrid or a 213-hp fully electric variant. Standard features include 20-inch wheels, LED matrix headlamps, a Selec-Terrain system, heated seats, 360-degree body protection, Level 2 autonomous driving, and various convenience options. Orders for the new Compass will open in summer 2025, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
