Jeep has announced the launch of its first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S. Scheduled to debut in the U.S. and Canada in the fall of 2024, the Wagoneer S will later be introduced to international markets. The vehicle is powered by a 600-horsepower engine and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. It offers a range exceeding 300 miles on a single charge. The Wagoneer S features Jeep’s exclusive Selec-Terrain traction management system with five driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand.
The Launch Edition of the Wagoneer S will feature black accents, a redesigned illuminated seven-slot grille, 20-inch wheels, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The interior includes over 45 inches of screen space, including an interactive front passenger screen, and a McIntosh 19-speaker audio system. Both front and rear seats are equipped with heating and ventilation.
The Wagoneer S is equipped with a 400-volt, 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack, enabling a 20-80% charge in 23 minutes with a DC fast charger. Each vehicle will come with a Level 2 home charger or public charging credits through Free2move Charge.
Built on the STLA Large platform, the Wagoneer S features electric drive modules that power the front and rear wheels independently. The design focuses on aerodynamics, achieving a coefficient of drag of 0.29, the lowest for any Jeep vehicle. Exterior design elements include a sloping roofline, flush pocket door handles, and an integrated rear spoiler.
The interior emphasizes luxury and technology, with a fully digital cockpit, a cross-car wing sculpture, and a 12.3-inch center display with the Uconnect 5 system. Advanced safety and security features include Active Driving Assist, Intersection Collision Assist, and Drowsy Driver Detection.
The starting price for the Wagoneer S Launch Edition is $71,995, including destination charges. The vehicle qualifies for the Inflation Reduction Act Retail and Lease EV credits. Customers of the Wagoneer S will also be enrolled in the Jeep Wave loyalty program, which provides maintenance and support services.
