Stellantis has confirmed it is expanding its employee discount pricing to the general public on select 2024 models for the month of April. The move gives consumers the option to choose between employee pricing or existing retail incentives.
According to a statement from the automaker, the campaign offers “aggressive and consistent incentive and marketing support,” with customers being offered a choice between the employee price and current cash offers. The initiative is being promoted as “America’s Freedom of Choice.”
The campaign follows a similar incentive strategy announced earlier this week by Ford Motor Company.
The Stellantis pricing program applies to several 2024 model year vehicles, including Jeep, Ram, and Dodge models. It runs from April 5 through April 30, according to an internal memo reviewed by Reuters.
The expanded discount effort comes amid broader industry disruptions related to new trade policies. The Trump administration’s implementation of a 25% tariff on automotive imports and a 10% baseline tariff on all imports has led to production and logistical shifts.
Stellantis announced Thursday that it will temporarily lay off approximately 900 workers at five U.S. facilities due to paused production at Canadian and Mexican assembly plants. Those U.S. plants supply parts to other Stellantis operations in North America.
General Motors announced this week that it will add U.S. production jobs in response to shifting trade and economic conditions. Meanwhile, Nissan Motor stated Thursday it will stop taking new orders from the U.S. for two Infiniti SUV models assembled in Mexico.
