Jeep has introduced the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry, a limited-edition version of the Wrangler 4xe Sahara with additional off-road features and technology. The model is intended to provide enhanced capability and convenience for off-road driving and camping.
The Wrangler 4xe Backcountry includes new features such as front and rear steel bumpers, rock rails, and a Mopar single-loop grille guard. It is equipped with 275/55R20 General Grabber all-terrain tires mounted on unique 20-inch wheels. The vehicle also features exclusive Backcountry decals on the hood, fenders, and rear swing gate.
A front TrailCam is included to provide better visibility on off-road trails, and the standard Trailer Tow package enhances towing capability. The Jeep Power Box, exclusive to the 4xe lineup, allows owners to power small appliances and accessories using the high-voltage hybrid battery pack. The system includes two duplex 120-volt, 15-amp outputs.
The vehicle comes with a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, GPS navigation, and integrated Adventure Guides. Through Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system, drivers can access trail guides by Trails Offroad, providing details on over 62 Jeep Badge of Honor trails, including difficulty ratings, route descriptions, and waypoints. A premium subscription expands the library to over 3,000 trails.
The 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry includes additional off-road-focused equipment such as Mopar all-weather slush mats, auxiliary switches for accessory installation, and a three-piece body-color hardtop. The Uconnect 5 system supports over-the-air updates and includes AppMarket, which provides access to adventure apps, games, and digital services. Features like Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Jeep Offroad Pages Plus, and SiriusXM Radio can be accessed through the system.
The vehicle retains Jeep’s 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain, which combines gasoline and electric technology. Jeep states that the Wrangler 4xe has been the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the United States for the past four years.
Production of the Wrangler 4xe Backcountry is limited to 5,800 units for North America. It is now available for order with a total starting price of $66,185, including a $1,895 destination fee. It is offered in multiple exterior colors, including a new shade called ‘41. A body-color Sky One-Touch power top is available as an option.
