Kia has released full pricing and technical details for the EV4 Fastback, a new four-door saloon version of the EV4, for the U.K. market. The EV4 Fastback will be sold in two trim levels—GT-Line and GT-Line S—both using a front-wheel-drive configuration with a single electric motor and an 81.4kWh battery. The GT-Line variant is priced from £40,895 (approximately $53,160), while the GT-Line S begins at £45,395 (approximately $59,015). Deliveries are expected to start in autumn 2025.

Built on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform, the EV4 Fastback has been developed with aerodynamic efficiency in mind. The car has a drag coefficient of 0.23 and offers a cargo volume of 490 liters (17.3 cubic feet). Compared to the hatchback EV4, the Fastback is 300mm (11.8 inches) longer and 5mm (0.2 inches) lower, due to an extended rear overhang and sloping roofline.

Both trims are powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 150kW (201 horsepower) and 283Nm (209 lb-ft) of torque. The 0-62 mph acceleration time is 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 105 mph. Kia claims a maximum WLTP driving range of up to 380 miles on a full charge.

Charging capabilities include a 10% to 80% charge in 29 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger, and a full charge in around 5 hours and 20 minutes with an 11kW AC home charger. The EV4 Fastback includes Kia’s Navigation Cockpit infotainment system, with dual 12.3-inch screens, a 5.3-inch climate touchscreen, and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Over-the-air updates and Kia Connect services are also included for seven years.

The model also introduces Kia’s generative AI voice assistant, activated with the command “Hey Kia.” The assistant can provide travel suggestions, entertainment options, and answers to questions using natural language processing.

The GT-Line S adds equipment over the standard GT-Line, such as a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LED headlights, ventilated and heated front seats, heated rear seats, powered front seats with memory function, a Harman Kardon audio system, and a head-up display. Additional features include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, a 360-degree camera system, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and an optional heat pump priced at £900 (about $1,170).

Standard features across the Fastback range include LED exterior lighting, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, multiple USB-C ports, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors, a reversing camera, and advanced driver assistance systems. These systems include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Smart Cruise Control, and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Exterior paint options include Fusion White as standard, with premium color options available for £625 (approximately $810). Available shades include Midnight Black, Magma Red, Yacht Blue, Shale Grey, and Moonlight Mint.

The EV4 Fastback is part of Kia’s global “Plan S” initiative, which aims to introduce 15 electric vehicles by 2030, nine of which are intended for the U.K. market.
