Kia has announced the 2026 EV9 Nightfall Edition, a new trim level for the all-electric three-row SUV. The Nightfall Edition will be offered on the dual-motor Land AWD trim and introduces visual changes and a performance upgrade. It was revealed at the 2025 New York International Auto Show and is expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2025.
The EV9 Nightfall Edition features exterior updates such as 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, Gloss Black front grille accents, skid plates, roof rails, and mirror caps. A new exterior paint color, Roadrider Brown, is exclusive to this edition. The vehicle also includes black Kia and EV9 emblems and additional Gloss Black accents along the lower body.

Inside, the Nightfall Edition includes an exclusive black interior scheme with new seating upholstery and genuine stitching. It comes standard with second-row captain’s chairs for a six-passenger layout but is also available with a 60/40 split-fold second-row bench to accommodate seven passengers.
The Nightfall Edition also comes with a Boost function, which increases torque from 443 lb.-ft. to 516 lb.-ft., enabling the vehicle to reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, based on manufacturer estimates. The power output remains at 379 horsepower from the dual-motor setup.

The 2026 Kia EV9 will support the North American Charging Standard (NACS), allowing access to the Tesla Supercharger network. With an optional adapter, owners can also access other fast-charging networks that use the Combined Charging System (CCS).
The EV9, including the new Nightfall Edition, is assembled at Kia’s plant in West Point, Georgia, and qualifies for the federal electric vehicle tax credit of $7,500.
