The 2025 Kia EV6, an electric crossover utility vehicle, was revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This updated model includes exterior design changes, enhanced interior features, and new technology systems. The EV6 will be assembled at Kia’s West Point, Georgia plant, except for the EV6 GT model. It is expected to be available in various trims, including Light, Wind, GT-Line, and GT, in the first half of 2025.
Updates to the EV6’s exterior incorporate Kia’s “Opposites United” design language, featuring Star Map lighting elements for a modern appearance. The revised interior includes a curved dual 12.3-inch display, updated lighting, and a redesigned center console.
The vehicle introduces two battery options: a standard 63.0 kWh battery and an 84.0 kWh battery, the latter providing an estimated range of up to 319 miles in certain configurations. Performance enhancements include an available all-wheel-drive system, delivering up to 320 horsepower, while the GT trim offers 641 horsepower with a virtual gear-shift feature for driving immersion.
Charging capabilities include an 800-volt DC system, now positioned on the left rear fender in non-GT trims. Additional technical improvements include over-the-air software updates and new in-car entertainment options via the Kia Connect Store.
Safety and assistance features have been expanded, with updated driver assistance systems like Highway Driving Assist 2 and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2. Convenience features such as Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 and Digital Key 2.0 have also been introduced.
The EV6 continues to emphasize sustainability and is assembled using U.S. and globally-sourced parts.
