Michelin has introduced the e.Primacy All Season tire, designed to meet the needs of drivers seeking efficiency. The company states that the new tire is intended to improve fuel economy and extend the range of hybrid and electric vehicles.
According to Michelin, the e.Primacy All Season tire is up to 25% more efficient than two leading competitor products. The company claims that the tire can provide up to 20 additional miles of battery range and save the equivalent of one tank of fuel per year. The tire utilizes Michelin’s GreenPower Compound, which is designed to reduce energy consumption and enhance durability.
The company states that the tire underwent extensive testing, including evaluations on electric vehicles. Michelin estimates that the e.Primacy All Season tire may last up to 13,000 miles longer than two competing products, potentially extending its usable lifespan by about a year.
Michelin describes the tire as suitable for internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The company highlights two features aimed at improving ride quality: Cushion Guard, which includes a rubber layer between the tread and steel belts to absorb road imperfections, and Piano Acoustic Technology, a tread design intended to reduce road noise over the life of the tire.
