Cadillac has announced the 2026 Optiq-V, a performance-focused electric vehicle that joins the brand’s fifth-generation V-Series lineup. The Optiq-V will be available in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Middle East, and Israel, with production expected to begin in fall 2025.
The vehicle features dual-motor all-wheel drive and is equipped with a lithium-ion NCMA battery with a usable energy capacity of 85 kWh. Cadillac estimates a range of 275 miles on a full charge. Power output is estimated at 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque, with a Cadillac-estimated 0 to 60 mph time of 3.5 seconds when Velocity Max mode is engaged. Charging options include DC fast charging capability, providing up to 70 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The Optiq-V is the first General Motors vehicle confirmed to be equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) inlet. This move aligns with GM’s plan to adopt the NACS protocol to provide access to a broader charging network.
Chassis and suspension specifications include a coilover strut front suspension and a five-link rear setup, supported by Continuous Damping Control dampers. The vehicle comes with 21-inch wheels and Brembo performance brakes featuring 390 mm front rotors and 315 mm rear rotors. Optional red or blue calipers are available, each marked with the V-Series badge.
The design of the Optiq-V includes unique exterior and interior elements. The exterior features satin graphite alloy wheels, a gloss black rear diffuser, and available carbon fiber accents. Two new exterior colors will be offered: Magnus Metal Frost and Deep Ocean Tintcoat. The interior includes woven carbon fiber trim, Santorini Blue accents, and a patterned accent fabric made from 100 percent recycled yarn.
Interior features include a 33-inch diagonal LED display and a 19-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos. Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free driver assistance technology, is standard with a three-year subscription to OnStar connected services. Additional driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, Enhanced Automatic Parking, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.
The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2026 Optiq-V is estimated to start at $68,795, including destination freight charge.
