Several new electric vehicles are scheduled to debut this week at the 2025 New York International Auto Show, which begins its media preview on April 16 before opening to the public on April 18. Major automakers, including Kia, Subaru, and Genesis, are using the show to highlight new production-ready EVs and updated versions of existing models.
Kia plans to unveil three vehicles during its April 16 press conference. Among them are the EV3 and EV4, two compact electric vehicles targeting the entry-level segment. The EV3 is expected to be a small crossover, while the EV4 will take the form of a sedan. Both models aim to broaden Kia’s EV lineup by offering more affordable, mass-market options. In addition, Kia will introduce the K4 hatchback, although that model is not electric.
Subaru is expected to reveal a new electric SUV called the Trailseeker. This vehicle marks Subaru’s next step in expanding its all-electric offerings. Also scheduled is a refreshed version of the Solterra, Subaru’s current electric SUV. Details on the updates have not yet been released, but the changes are expected to be incremental.
Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury division, will use the New York show to showcase a refreshed version of the GV60. The updated GV60 is anticipated to feature design revisions along with potential upgrades to charging performance, range, or interior technology.
The New York International Auto Show runs through April 27 at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
