Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has announced a new lineup of vehicles and technologies that will be introduced in the United States and Canada between fiscal years 2025 and 2027. The announcement includes new electric vehicles, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and updated internal combustion engine models.
A key part of this plan is the introduction of the third-generation Leaf. The new model will be a family-oriented crossover built on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform, which it shares with the Ariya. It will include improvements in aerodynamics, efficiency, and range, along with features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic moonroof, and a NACS charging port to access the Tesla Supercharger network. It will be the first Nissan EV in North America to include this port.
In addition to the Leaf, Nissan plans to launch its first plug-in hybrid for North America in the form of a plug-in Rogue. The Sentra sedan will receive a full model change, and the Pathfinder SUV will get a refresh. For Infiniti, the QX60 will be updated and the QX80 will gain a new Sport package.
In fiscal year 2026, Nissan will begin production of the fourth-generation Rogue, which will be available with the new e-Power system, a traditional internal combustion engine, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Infiniti will introduce the QX65, a two-row crossover coupe inspired by the Infiniti FX.
By the end of fiscal year 2027, production will begin at Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi plant for an all-new electric SUV focused on outdoor and adventure use. In fiscal year 2028, this will be followed by a luxury electric SUV from Infiniti, based on the Vision QXe concept.
Both of these future EVs will use U.S.-made batteries supplied by SK On, supporting 1,700 jobs and backed by $661 million in investments from SK On and $500 million from Nissan for EV production at Canton.
The third-generation e-Power system, which will debut in North America in fiscal year 2026 with the next-generation Rogue, is expected to improve high-speed fuel economy by up to 15 percent over the current version. It will include a new 1.5-liter engine and a 5-in-1 integrated powertrain system, designed to reduce noise and improve efficiency and refinement.
More detailed information will be released closer to the on-sale dates of each model.
