Nissan has announced that the 2024 Ariya electric vehicle (EV) will be available for purchase starting at $39,590. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for all trim levels of the Ariya has been adjusted to appeal to a wider range of consumers. The base model, Ariya Engage, has seen a price reduction of $3,600, while other trims have experienced reductions of up to $6,000.
This pricing adjustment is part of Nissan’s strategy to increase the competitiveness of the Ariya in the EV market and provide better value to customers, according to Trisha Jung, senior director of EV Strategy and Transformation at Nissan U.S. The Ariya offers two battery options: a 63-kWh standard range battery and an 87-kWh long range battery. It is available with either front-wheel drive or the e-4ORCE dual-motor all-wheel drive system, which is designed to enhance ride stability and comfort by optimizing torque allocation and applying independent brake control at each wheel. The vehicle’s power outputs range from 214 to 389 horsepower.
The 2024 Ariya features an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 304 miles and includes ProPILOT Assist 2.0 for semi-autonomous highway driving in certain trims. In addition to these vehicle enhancements, Nissan is expanding its charging infrastructure through a new agreement with Tesla. An adapter for the North American Charging Standard (NACS) will be available for the Ariya, allowing access to Tesla Superchargers. Starting in 2025, Nissan will equip its EVs with NACS ports for the U.S. and Canadian markets to simplify charging.
