Polestar, is now providing its North American customers with access to 17,800 Tesla Superchargers. This expansion complements similar access already available to Polestar customers in Europe and China.
For future vehicles in North America, Polestar will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) inlet as a standard feature. Until this integration is complete, current Polestar owners can obtain a NACS adapter by visiting a Polestar Service Center. Additionally, Polestar’s vehicles equipped with Google Maps will soon display all available NACS-compatible chargers to improve accessibility for drivers.
In Europe, Polestar Charge already allows its users to access one of the continent’s most extensive charging networks, with more than 850,000 charging points. This includes over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers as well as stations from other major providers such as Ionity, Recharge, Total, Fastned, and Allego. In China, Polestar owners also have extensive access to the Tesla Supercharger network in more than 200 cities.
Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller stated that access to global charging infrastructure is a significant advantage for the brand. Through partnerships with various charging providers, the company aims to offer a charging experience that is convenient, efficient, user-friendly, and competitively priced.
