Polestar has announced that the 2026 Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe is now available for order in the United States. The vehicle starts at $57,800, including a $1,400 destination fee. Production for the North American market is scheduled to begin in Busan, South Korea, in the summer of 2025, with first customer deliveries expected in the fall.
The Polestar 4 features a design that combines aerodynamic elements typically associated with coupes and the interior space of an SUV. The fastest Polestar production vehicle to date, the Long Range Dual motor variant can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, producing 544 horsepower and 506 lb-ft of torque. The long-range Single motor variant delivers 272 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque, with a targeted EPA range of up to 300 miles. Both variants feature a 100 kWh battery, with up to 200 kW DC charging and 11 kW AC charging capability.
Standard equipment across all models includes the Pilot Pack, with Pilot Assist and Lane Change Assist, as well as 20-inch Aero alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree parking camera with 3D view, an energy-saving heat pump, e-latch doors, a power-operated tailgate with soft close, wireless phone charging, a digital key for Apple devices, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, and a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat.
An optional Plus Pack adds features such as a graphical head-up display, automatically dimming exterior mirrors, 12-way electrically adjustable seats with manual leg extension, electronically reclining rear seats, an illuminated Polestar front logo, MicroTech upholstery, a three-zone climate control system with rear controls, an entertainment screen, a heated steering wheel and rear seats, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system.
The Performance Pack, available only on the Long range Dual motor variant, includes 22-inch forged Performance wheels, Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, Brembo four-piston brake calipers in Swedish gold, Polestar performance brake discs, summer performance tires, Swedish gold seat belts, and matching valve stem caps.
The Polestar 4 introduces aerodynamic elements such as a low nose with air curtains, retractable door handles, flush glazing with frameless windows, rear aero blades, and optimized airflow around the rear light bar. The traditional rear window has been replaced with a high-definition camera system that provides a real-time feed from a roof-mounted camera.
The interior of the Polestar 4 features Google’s Android Automotive OS with Google built-in apps and services. Polestar works with Google to develop and release new features for the system.
Sustainable materials are a focus of the Polestar 4, which uses MicroTech upholstery made from bio-attributed vinyl derived from pine oil, carpets made from 100% recycled ECONYL polyamide sourced from discarded fishing nets and plastic waste, and interior headliners made from recycled PET. Polestar states that 85% of the vehicle is recyclable, and several components are designed for reuse or remanufacturing. The Polestar 4 is also available with optional upholstery made from fully traced and animal welfare-secured Nappa leather sourced from Bridge of Weir. The Polestar 4 has the lowest carbon footprint of any Polestar model at launch.
Polestar’s North American lineup includes the Polestar 2, Polestar 3, and Polestar 4. Upcoming models include the Polestar 5, a four-door GT scheduled for 2025, the Polestar 6 roadster, and the Polestar 7 compact SUV. Production for North America is currently located in Asia and North America, with plans to expand manufacturing to Europe.
