Porsche has made significant updates to its flagship SUV, the Cayenne, for the 2024 model year. While the Cayenne has not transitioned to an all-electric format, it features a comprehensive refresh across its lineup, including the plug-in hybrid Cayenne E-Hybrid.
One notable update is the inclusion of the Porsche Driver Experience, which brings the instrument cluster and infotainment layout from the all-electric Taycan to the Cayenne. This new layout relocates important functions closer to the steering wheel and enhances center console storage. However, the air vent controls remain manually adjustable in the updated Cayenne.
The Cayenne’s infotainment system now supports wireless phone duplication and includes built-in Apple Music and Spotify. An optional passenger display, similar to that in the Taycan, is available. This display features a special coating that prevents the driver from viewing it while active.
The Cayenne E-Hybrid now features an updated electric motor with an output of 174 horsepower, bringing the system total to 463 horsepower. The battery capacity has been increased to 25.9 kWh, which is expected to improve the all-electric driving range, although specific figures have not been disclosed. Additionally, the onboard AC charger has been upgraded to a peak rate of 11 kW, enabling a full charge in approximately 2.5 hours.
Standard features for the 2024 Cayenne have been enhanced and include Matrix Design LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, 20-inch wheels, Lane Keep and Change Assist, Comfort Access, and a 15-watt wireless charger. The starting price for the updated Cayenne E-Hybrid is $93,350 for the SUV version and $97,350 for the Coupé variant. Orders are currently being accepted, with deliveries expected to commence this summer.
