Ram has introduced Ram Professional, a new division dedicated to commercial vehicles with a focus on electrification. This initiative is part of Stellantis Pro One’s strategy to become a leading player in the global commercial vehicle market. Ram Professional will debut at the 2024 National Truck and Equipment (NTEA) Work Truck Week show in Indianapolis on March 6th. The division aligns with Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 goal to reduce its carbon footprint and improve customer satisfaction, particularly in North America.
Operating as an independent business unit, Ram Professional aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem for commercial vehicle customers. The division will focus on electric vehicles (EVs) and connected services to meet the evolving needs of the commercial sector. Ken Kayser, Vice President of Ram Professional, emphasized the division’s commitment to offering high-quality products and services, with a particular emphasis on electrification.
The division’s product lineup is designed to serve a broad range of commercial users, from small businesses to large fleets, with an emphasis on value and low total cost of ownership. A key offering is the new Ram ProMaster EV, marking a significant step towards electrification in Ram’s commercial vehicle lineup. This electric vehicle is aimed at providing environmentally friendly transportation solutions while maintaining performance.
Ram Professional will also provide comprehensive electrification and charging solutions. Through the Stellantis Free2Move ecosystem, the division plans to offer professional charging solutions and services, aiming to deliver seamless EV charging and energy management for customers.
In addition to electrified vehicles, Ram Professional’s services will include vehicle customization, maintenance packages, commercial financing, and connected services. This focus on electrification is in line with the broader industry shift towards sustainable transportation solutions.
Jeff Kommor’s appointment as Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales highlights Ram Professional’s commitment to expanding its commercial and fleet vehicle offerings, including the launch of the Ram ProMaster EV. The division will start its services in North America with plans to expand its offerings throughout 2024, positioning itself as a leader in commercial vehicle solutions with a strong emphasis on electrification.
