Acura has revealed the RSX Prototype during Monterey Car Week, previewing its upcoming all-electric premium SUV. The production model is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026 and will be the first Acura engineered in-house on Honda’s global EV platform. Production will take place at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio on the same line as the Acura Integra, using both domestic and globally sourced parts.
The RSX will introduce ASIMO OS, an operating system developed by Honda to integrate driving assistance, infotainment, and other vehicle systems. ASIMO OS will use machine learning to adapt to driver preferences and behavior, and will support over-the-air updates for new features and services.
The vehicle will offer dual-motor all-wheel drive, sport-tuned double wishbone front suspension, and Brembo brakes. Acura states the RSX will also be capable of acting as mobile energy storage, supplying power to devices and providing home backup electricity.
The RSX Prototype is finished in Propulsion Yellow Pearl and features a coupe-like silhouette, flared wheel wells, 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, and a ducktail-style rear spoiler. Its lighting design includes slim daytime running lights, low-mounted LED headlamps, and a full-width taillight inspired by the second-generation NSX.
The RSX Prototype will be shown at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, and at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Concept Lawn.
