Tesla reported its second-quarter 2025 production and delivery figures, showing a significant decline in deliveries compared to previous quarters. According to the company, it produced 410,244 vehicles and delivered 384,122 between April and June.
This marks the largest quarterly drop in vehicle deliveries in Tesla’s history. The figures represent a notable gap between production and deliveries, with nearly 26,000 more vehicles produced than delivered. For comparison, in Q1 2025 Tesla delivered 386,810 vehicles, which means Q2 deliveries fell by approximately 0.7%, despite an increase in production.
The bulk of Tesla’s deliveries in Q2 came from the Model 3 and Model Y lineup, which accounted for 373,728 units delivered out of 396,835 produced. Other models, including the Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck, contributed 10,394 deliveries from 13,409 produced. Tesla also noted that 2% of Model 3/Y deliveries and 7% of “Other Models” were subject to lease accounting.
In addition to its vehicle operations, Tesla reported deploying 9.6 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage products during the quarter. No specific breakdown of storage deployments or solar installations was included in this release.
The company did not provide commentary on the reason for the delivery shortfall or offer any updated guidance in this brief disclosure.
