As Elon Musk continues to exert his far-right influence over the United States government, people are taking to the streets en masse to protest. While nearly all of these protests are safe and non-violent, there are a few people outside of those protests who have taken matters into their own hands. While none of us here can condone violence or this type of vandalism, we do understand it.

In France, 8 Tesla vehicles were set on fire by arsonists this week and destroyed, with others damaged, at a Tesla showroom in the south of France. The city of Toulouse, France, says that the fire was “not at all accidental.”

Then in Littleton, Massachusetts, arsonists set fire to seven Tesla charging stations at a Supercharger installation. “At this point it does appear that it was a set fire,” said Littleton Fire Chief Steele McCurdy. Like with the vandalism in France, nobody was injured. Apparently, investigators found some evidence left behind, and while they aren’t saying it is, it does give investigators reason to believe it was done on purpose. Which, given everything going on in the world seems obvious.

The website supercharge.info is reporting the station as being closed.

With this increase in vandalism at Tesla locations, it explains why Musk is wearing body armor whenever he’s out in public.
