The Cadillac Lyriq-V is the quickest Cadillac they have ever sold, which is pretty cool. Considering that the company considers it a V-Sport and not a full-on Blackwing-eqse V, that means there’s probably an even quicker one in the future.
But that’s not the best thing about it. You see, there Lyriq is one of the very few all-electric General Motors products that still has the greatest new car feature. That feature is support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
“But I thought GM was eliminating that?”
They are. But at the same time, they don’t want to create confusion in the showroom. They don’t want a customer to come in and see a 2024 model and a 2025 model and have there be a difference like the removal of support for Car Play. So, they continue to support it as they introduce new trims to the Lyriq lineup.
Maybe when there’s a true, proper refresh of the Lyriq they’ll drop the support, but for the time being the Lyriq-V (and the rest of the Lyriq lineup) is a great way to get a nice EV that drives and charges well while still being able to have it support the great features of the smartphone in your pocket.
What a great idea, huh?
