Third-generation Nissan Leaf priced at $31,485 for 303 miles of range

Nissan has announced pricing for the third-generation 2026 Leaf, which will go on sale in the United States this fall. The new model introduces revised styling, additional technology, expanded range, and a lower entry price compared to both the original 2011 Leaf and the outgoing 2025 version.

The 2026 Nissan Leaf S+ has a starting price of $31,485, including the $1,495 destination and handling charge. The Leaf SV+ is priced at $35,725 with destination, while the top-tier Leaf Platinum+ will cost $40,485 with destination. Pricing for the base S grade will be announced at a later date.

Compared to the first-generation model, which debuted with a price of $32,780 in 2011, the new entry-level Leaf comes in at a lower cost when including destination. The 2026 Leaf SV+ also undercuts the outgoing 2025 Leaf SV PLUS by nearly $2,000 while offering additional standard features and an improved range.

The updated Leaf is equipped with a new battery system that provides an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 303 miles per charge. The vehicle supports North American Charging Standard (NACS) compatibility with Plug & Charge functionality, enabling access to more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across the United States.

Design updates include motorized flush door handles, a panoramic dimming roof, and a roofline inspired by the Nissan Z. Inside, the Leaf features larger dual displays — 12.3 inches on the S and S+ trims and 14.3 inches on SV+ and Platinum+ trims — along with revised seating for improved second-row space.

Technology features include available Google built-in with Google Maps and Intelligent Route Planner, along with a standard Intelligent Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood View, and Front Wide View camera systems.

The 2026 Nissan Leaf will be available nationwide beginning in fall 2025.
