Based on reporting first seen on CNBC, and then confirmed by staff here at Destination Charged, Tim Kuniskis has returned to Stellantis. The father of the modern muscle car movement, the genesis of putting Hellcats in everything, and the guy who made street-legal drag cars a thing is back.
He’ll be running the Ram Trucks brand. He had resigned from Stellantis earlier this year, but a week after CEO Carlos Tavares resigned he appears to be back in the saddle.
What does that mean for the upcoming Ram Rev full battery-electric truck and the range-extended Ram Ramcharger? Probably at this moment not a whole lot. Both of those products were introduced to the market under the command of Kuniskis, so presumably, he greenlit both of those projects. Additionally, he was at the helm of Dodge for the approval of the Charger Daytona fully electric muscle car.
