Toyota has announced the 2026 bZ Woodland, a new all-electric SUV that expands the company’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup. The bZ Woodland will come with standard all-wheel drive and is equipped with dual electric motors integrated into front and rear eAxles. The system delivers a combined 375 horsepower. Toyota estimates the vehicle will offer up to 260 miles of all-electric range under ideal conditions and can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes using Level 3 DC fast charging. The SUV uses a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and features the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port for access to a wide network of DC fast-charging stations, as well as Plug & Charge capability.
The bZ Woodland is based on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform and will be offered in a single trim level with a standard package and an optional Premium Package. The base configuration includes SofTex-trimmed seats, a 14-inch touchscreen running the Toyota Audio Multimedia system, dual wireless device charging, and ambient lighting. A JBL audio system, panoramic roof, ventilated front seats, and radiant cabin heaters are part of the available Premium Package. The SUV has a ground clearance of 8.3 inches, a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, and more than 30 cubic feet of rear cargo space. All Terrain tires are optional.
Design features include wide black overfenders, standard roof rails, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with removable covers. The vehicle is about six inches longer and nearly an inch taller at the rear than its sibling in the bZ lineup. Exterior color options include Stepping Stone, Halo, Steel, Pavement, Trueno Blue, and Raven Black. Interior upholstery is available in Stone Brown and Black.
Toyota has also included a range of driver assistance technologies through its Safety Sense 3.0 suite. These features include pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. Additional safety features include a panoramic view monitor with multi-terrain capability, Safe Exit Alert, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Toyota’s Star Safety System.
The bZ Woodland also includes regenerative braking with adjustable levels using steering wheel paddles. Connectivity features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi Connect with mobile hotspot functionality, cloud-based navigation, remote climate and vehicle access functions via the Toyota App, and support for Toyota’s digital key.
The model is expected to arrive in dealerships in early 2026. It is covered by Toyota’s standard 36-month/36,000-mile warranty, a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty on electric vehicle components. It will also include two years or 25,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance through ToyotaCare, and three years of roadside assistance coverage.
