Toyota has announced pricing for the refreshed 2026 Toyota bZ all-electric SUV, and the lineup brings a mix of lower starting costs, modest increases on higher trims, and the introduction of a new long-range configuration. The updated model will arrive at U.S. dealerships in the second half of 2025.

For 2026, the bZ lineup starts at $36,350, including destination, a drop of $2,170 compared to the outgoing 2025 bZ4X’s entry price of $38,520. That base model, the bZ XLE FWD, now comes with a smaller 57.7-kWh battery, giving it an estimated range of 236 miles, down from 252 miles last year.

The biggest addition for 2026 is the new bZ XLE FWD Plus, priced at $39,350 including destination. Equipped with a larger 74.7-kWh battery, it delivers up to 314 miles of estimated range, making it the longest-range variant in Toyota’s EV portfolio. Positioned just above the base model, the FWD Plus offers significantly more capability for buyers focused on maximizing range without stepping into premium territory.

The bZ XLE AWD now starts at $41,350, including destination, an increase of just $750 compared to last year’s equivalent. Despite the modest price bump, it offers a dramatic improvement in range — up to 288 miles, a 60-mile increase over the 2025 model.

For buyers seeking more luxury, the bZ Limited FWD is priced at $44,750 and the bZ Limited AWD at $46,750, increases of $1,500 and $1,420, respectively. Both trims now feature the larger 74.7-kWh battery as standard and see significant gains in range, with the Limited FWD rated at 299 miles and the Limited AWD at 278 miles.

Toyota’s pricing strategy for the 2026 bZ reflects a more competitive approach in the electric SUV space. By lowering the entry point and adding a long-range mid-tier option, the company is aiming to broaden its appeal to both budget-conscious EV shoppers and those seeking maximum driving distance on a single charge.

The 2026 bZ also introduces other enhancements, including faster charging, Tesla Supercharger access via the new NACS port, and Plug & Charge capability for seamless payment at compatible stations.

Just don’t call it the bZ4X.
