Fiat Professional has announced the launch of Tris, its first three-wheeled electric vehicle, in key markets across Africa and the Middle East. The new model expands Fiat’s commercial vehicle offerings and is aimed at urban logistics and small business mobility.
Designed in Italy at the Centro Stile, Tris is a fully electric ultra-light commercial vehicle with a range of 90 kilometers on a full charge. It is built for professional use in urban and peri-urban areas, addressing growing demand for compact, zero-emission transport solutions.
Tris will be available in three versions: chassis-cabin, flatbed, and pick-up. The modular layout allows for customization based on different business needs. The pick-up variant is delivered as a ready-to-use vehicle, while the other versions can be adapted by certified upfitters or customers themselves.

The vehicle measures 3.17 meters in length and has a turning radius of 3.05 meters, enabling it to navigate narrow city streets. The rear cargo area offers 2.25 square meters of loading space and accommodates a standard euro pallet. The maximum gross vehicle weight is 1,025 kilograms, with a payload capacity of up to 540 kilograms.
Tris is powered by a 48-volt electric motor producing a peak output of 9 kW and maximum torque of 45 Nm. Its top speed is limited to 45 km/h. The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 6.9 kWh and supports charging from a standard 220V household outlet. The built-in charger allows the battery to be recharged from 0 to 80 percent in 3.5 hours, or to full in 4 hours and 40 minutes.

Driver comfort and ease of use were key design considerations. The cabin features an ergonomic driving position, multiple storage compartments including a 3-liter glovebox, and accessory options such as floor mats. A 5.7-inch digital display shows essential driving information, while power outlets include a USB-C port and a 12V socket.
Lighting is provided by an LED system with a new signature pixel design. Tris also complies with European vehicle safety regulations, featuring three-point seatbelts, automatic LED low-beam headlights, a reversing buzzer, and a washer reservoir.
The vehicle is manufactured in Morocco and is positioned as part of Fiat Professional’s global strategy to promote accessible electric transport. Lease and lease-to-own options are intended to help small businesses and independent workers acquire the vehicle with reduced upfront costs.
Stellantis plans to continue investment in micromobility, viewing it as a tool for economic empowerment and social inclusion, particularly in developing regions.
