Mercedes-Benz has revealed the Vision V concept, a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that previews the future top-end model expected to launch on the upcoming Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) platform in 2026. The vehicle introduces a new segment of premium limousines with a focus on spaciousness, high-end materials, and advanced digital experiences.
The Vision V is positioned as a high-end MPV that will serve both chauffeur-driven and family transport needs, emphasizing customizable privacy and interior comfort. One of its key features is the “Private Lounge,” an interior space separated from the front cabin with switchable glass that transitions between opaque and transparent. The lounge includes electrically adjustable first-class seats that recline to a flatbed position, ambient lighting, and a center console that includes a touchpad, fold-out table, and integrated chessboard.
Interior materials include crystal white Nappa leather, white silk, and open-pore burr wood. Display cabinets and decorative trim pieces made of aluminum and dark wood serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. The sound system features 42 Dolby Atmos speakers, with additional units mounted in glass enclosures on the cabin walls.
A 65-inch 4K-resolution retractable cinema screen rises from the floor to partition the lounge area when passengers enter. The screen supports split-screen functionality and integrates with surround sound and projection systems, enabling a 360-degree visual experience. Windows and other surfaces can be used as dynamic displays or dimmed for privacy using advanced liquid crystal glass technology.
The digital interior also allows passengers to engage with seven themed digital experiences, including entertainment, relaxation, gaming, work, shopping, discovery, and karaoke. These modes aim to tailor the cabin experience to the preferences of passengers through sound, visuals, and interface customization.
Up front, the cockpit is built around a full-width Superscreen that combines multiple displays and integrates augmented reality for navigation and driver assistance.
The exterior design of the Vision V adheres to aerodynamic and aesthetic principles, featuring a sculpted profile, chrome elements, and illuminated louvres. These louvres appear on the grille, side pillars, wheels, and tail section, integrating LED lighting for both visual effect and functional use such as signaling. The design includes a short front overhang, power domes on the hood, and 24-inch wheels. The lighting signature and overall body shape preview a design language Mercedes-Benz intends to expand across future luxury MPVs.
