Winter adventure in Sweden available with Volvo EX30 rental

Volvo has introduced the EX30 Cross Country, a fully electric SUV designed for outdoor exploration. As part of the launch, the company has partnered with Landfolk to offer a rental opportunity for a secluded winter cabin in northern Sweden. This initiative aligns with Volvo’s broader strategy of providing experiences beyond its vehicle lineup.

The cabin, located approximately an hour north of Luleå, is available for booking from February 21 to March 21, 2025. Each reservation includes a two-night stay and access to a Volvo vehicle for travel in the area. The property features accommodations for up to three people, a Scandinavian-style kitchen, and designated storage for outdoor gear such as skis and snow boots. Guests will also have access to recommended outdoor activities, including dog sledding and cross-country skiing.

According to Erik Severinson, Volvo’s chief product and strategy officer, the initiative is intended to demonstrate the Cross Country concept as an immersive experience. The cabin’s location offers views of a frozen lake and surrounding forests, providing an opportunity for visitors to experience the Scandinavian winter environment.

Travelers can book the cabin through Landfolk, a platform known for curating unique holiday homes across Scandinavia and parts of southern Europe. The rental price includes the use of a Volvo EX30, which will be available for pickup at a rental service partner near Luleå Airport.

Volvo also reported financial performance for 2024, with a core operating profit of SEK 27 billion and total revenue of SEK 400.2 billion. Global sales for the year reached 763,389 vehicles.

Landfolk, founded in 2021, offers a collection of over 3,500 vacation properties across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and France. The company focuses on nature-oriented stays with individually selected homes.
