Wuling has launched the four-door version of the Hong Guang MiniEV in China. The vehicle is available in three configurations, with prices ranging from RMB 44,800 to RMB 50,800. This new model expands the Hong Guang MiniEV lineup, which has seen adoption by 1.5 million users since its introduction in 2020.
The four-door model features a longer wheelbase compared to the earlier two-door versions. It retains a four-seat layout, and the vehicle’s rear seats can be folded down to expand the trunk capacity from 123 liters to 745 liters. Additional exterior and interior color options have been introduced with this version.
The MiniEV Four-Door offers a driving range of 205 kilometers and has an energy consumption rate of 8.9 kWh per 100 kilometers. It supports three types of charging: DC fast charging, AC slow charging, and household charging via an on-board unit. With DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes.
Safety features on the vehicle include front airbags for the driver and passenger, Electronic Stability Control, an Autohold system, an electronic parking brake, a high-definition reversing camera, and Wuling’s Shenlian battery technology, which the company states has had no recorded incidents of spontaneous combustion. The vehicle structure includes a ring-shaped cage made of 67% high-strength steel.
Since reservations began in mid-December, Wuling has received 20,000 orders for the MiniEV Four-Door.
