Do you currently own a Tesla vehicle? It’s time to sell it. I know that you don’t like that prospect for a bunch of reasons but the facts are the facts. If you’re driving a Tesla today you’re comfortable with the fascist takeover of our government, and the human rights violations that are occurring right now with our government. You’re okay with the Nazis returning to power, and you’re okay with the world being plunged into war because the people in power have delusions of grandeur.

You don’t like those things? Great. But if you’re still driving a Tesla you’re telling the world that none of those things are deal breakers for you. You need to sell your Tesla.

But I’ll lose my butt on depreciation

All cars depreciate. I know that Elon said one time that his cars wouldn’t depreciate, but he also said that would be because there’d be 1 million robotaxis on the road by the end of 2020. It’s the beginning of 2025, if you haven’t noticed, and not a single robotaxi is out there taking people around. On the most recent earnings call, Musk even admitted that current Hardware v3 cars would need to be upgraded to v4 to support robotaxis.

Cars are a depreciating asset, and your Tesla is about to tank. In parts of Europe, new Tesla says are down over 50%. The January volume numbers of the United States aren’t much better, with the Model 3 suffering its worst January in years. Heck, it performed worse this past January than it did during COVID.

As new sales begin to dwindle, the value of used cars will also plummet. If nobody wants the new version, nobody is going to want the used version either. The amount you are offered today will be the MOST that you’re going to get out of your Tesla.

I’m sorry if that means you’re taking a big loss. I’m sorry if you’re losing $10,000+. But your Tesla is soon going to be worthless, and then you’ll be out all of the money. It’s okay to scramble for the lifeboats. You don’t need to be the band going down with the ship. Because the ship is going to sink regardless, so do you want to be left holding the bag?

Your safety is at risk

The more Nazi stuff that Elon Musk does, the more he’s going to anger people who are anti-Nazi. Drivers are already reporting being harassed by others, including vandalization and being Nazi-saluted wherever they go. I’ve seen posts where family members won’t ride in the family Tesla out of fear of something happening.

I don’t condone any of that behavior, but I do understand it. If you have a Tesla and you care about your family’s safety, you should get rid of the car. Again, I’m sorry if you are a believer in the original Tesla mission, or just wanted to drive an EV. There are a bunch of other EVs out there right now, and while Tesla still does some things quite well, it’s not an excuse to support a literal Nazi. Is it?

Most of Elon’s wealth, and therefore his power, is wrapped up in the value of Tesla’s stock. The only way to combat Tesla’s stock price — which Elon can manipulate without repercussions on a whim — is to absolutely crush Tesla’s sales. Eventually, even the clown analysts who keep propping up Elon because they’re over-indexed in shares of Tesla will come around and cash out. Even Ross Gerber has seen the light.

Selling your Tesla not only helps protect our government from the broligarch takeover currently happening, but selling your Tesla literally helps fight the growing tumor of fascism around the world, because the richest man in the world is a Nazi, but has his wealth tied up in something consumers have direct control over.

It’s time. There are a lot of other great EV options there. Sell your Tesla.
